DESCRIPTION :

A candidate has to meet the requirements of article 113 and article 116 of the Act of 20 July 2018 Law on Higher Education and Science (The official Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, with amendments) and the Statute of the University of Lodz.

The work will involve conducting research and teaching activities. Additionally, the employee will be involved in organizational activities for the Faculty and the University.


  REQUIREMENTS:

The candidate should meet the following criteria and have:

·         meet the condition of having no criminal record for crimes specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Penal Code, in Art. 189a and art. 207 of the Penal Code and the Act of July 29, 2005 on counteracting drug addiction (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1939) and for prohibited acts corresponding to these crimes specified in the provisions of foreign law;

·         M. Sc. degree in biological or related sciences, which is formally recognized in Poland;

·         experience in laboratory work and especially knowledge of modern techniques in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology including methods such as real-time PCR, Western blot, ELISA, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry;

·          good knowledge of English;


·          fluent knowledge of Polish, spoken and written;

·          experience as a grant manager in the implementation of

research projects financed with the funds obtained in national or international

competitions;

·          achievements in the form of articles published in

reputable journals from the JCR list (minimum 500  points from publications according to the

list of scientific journals provided by the Ministry of Education and Science

(only publications with ≥100 points), including at least 1 publication  ≥ 100 as either first or corresponding author;

·          experience in conducting biochemistry and molecular

biology classes;

·          readiness to implement international mobility for

research purposes.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • conducting and participating in scientific research and development work;
  • obtaining funds for scientific research by applying in competitions at the national or international level;
  • dissemination of scientific results or development of research by publishing in prestigious scientific journals included in the Journal Citation Reports list;
  • implementation of international mobility for research purposes;
  • conducting teaching classes and supervising students' diploma theses
  • participation in developing and updating educational programs and teaching plans;
  • other organizational duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
