The candidate for the above position should meet the requirements of Article 113 and Article 116 of the Law on Higher Education and Science of July 20, 2018. (Journal of Laws of 2022, item 574 as amended) and the Statute of the University of Lodz.

DESCRIPTION (field, expectations, comments): The candidate(s) should hold a post-doctoral degree (habilitation) in ethnology and cultural anthropology obtained within the last 10 years and have an academic achievements in cultural anthropology, qualitative research methods, cultural anthropology of social problems in contemporary societies.

Candidates for the position of assistant professor at the Institute of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology should meet the following criteria:

- demonstrate authorship or co-authorship of publications in renowned international journals and leading publishing houses in the discipline

- participate in an international research program within the last 5 years

- have a record of active participation in conferences at the national and international level

- be fluent in Polish and English to the extent of being able to conduct seminars, speeches, research papers, etc. in that both languages.

Additional strengths of the candidate(s):

- direct or coordinate a scientific project funded by an entity other than the employing institution within the last 5 years

- research experience in the field of non-European ethnology

- experience in the implementation of research and project cooperation between the university unit and entities from the socio-economic environment, including foreign entities, in the last 5 years

- outline or ready-to-submit research project

- experience in organizing scientific conferences, including international conferences

- knowledge of another modern foreign language in addition to English

- experience in the use of a specialized foreign language, including for scientific interpretation and/or translation

- prestigious scholarships/grants/academic awards received within the last 7 years

- soft skills such as: interpersonal skills, ability to solve problems independently, time management, adaptability, motivation, communication skills (evidenced by at least one recommendation and courses, training, coaching, etc.).
