DESCRIPTION (field, expectations, comments):
The candidate should meet the following criteria:
- hold a PhD degree in the field of the humanities as well as an academic degree in Slavic studies;
- have documented skills in the Czech and Serbian languages (confirmed by diplomas, certificates, supplements, etc.), as well as, additionally, in Bulgarian or Slovene;
- have experience in conducting research on the culture of the Slavs as well as in leading externally funded research projects;
- supply a list of scholarly publications in journals / publishing houses with an international range or included in the official lists of the Polish Ministry of Education and Science;
- have experience in teaching courses for university students;
- be fluent in Polish.
Moreover, the candidate is expected to be familiar with the field of teaching Serbian and Czech, enabling them to teach practical classes in these languages at different levels, as well as to teach other courses related to the profile of the program (particularly pertaining to the history and culture of the Slavs). The candidate is also expected to participate in scholarly and organizational activities of the Department. Preference will be given to candidates who have conducted research- or teaching-related stays (of significant length) at foreign institutions.
Persons entering the competition must submit an application for employment addressed to HM Rector of the University of Lodz, Prof. dr hab. Elżbieta Żądzińska, together with the following attachments:
- personal questionnaire,
- CV including a full list of scientific achievements (publications, conference papers, scholarly grants, etc.),
- certified copy of PhD diploma,
- certified copy of MA diploma,
- statement that the University of Lodz will be the main place of work.
