Who are we looking for

We seek candidates interested in ecological analysis of marine benthic communities, including shelf and deep-sea. The successful candidate should have experience in taxonomic analysis of marine Polychaeta, analysis of biodiversity, multivariate analysis and modelling of benthic invertebrate communities on a background of environmental factors, especially in the tropical regions.

Main tasks of the adjunct will focus on:

1.Modelling of benthic marine communities using linear mixed-effects models and generalised mixed-effects models,

2.Multivariate analysis of environmental data and data on diversity of invertebrate communities,

3.Biodiversity analysis and use of various diversity measures (including -taxonomic distinctness),

4.Analyis of functional diversity,

5.Taxonomic identification of marine benthic Polychaeta,

6.Preparation of publications, conference presentations and grant proposals,

7.Active participation to other ongoing projects of the team.

The candidate should meet the following criteria and have:

  1. Doctoral degree in biology (valid in Poland),
  2. Experience in analysis of marine environmental and biological data,
  3. Experience in studies of marine benthic ecology evidenced by articles in JCR-listed journals, published during the last 5 years,
  4. Substantial data analysis experience including R package and Primer package,
  5. Experience in work with international research team,
  6. High motivation and enthusiasm to scientific work,
  7. Responsibility and good time management,
  8. At least 7 publications in JCR-listed journals.
