The candidate for the above position should meet the requirements of Article 113 and Article 116 of the Law on Higher Education and Science of July 20, 2018. (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742 as amended) and the Statute of the University of Lodz.

DESCRIPTION (field, expectations, comments): The candidate(s) should hold a doctoral degree in ethnology and cultural/social anthropology or in culture and religion studies, obtained within the last 12 years and have academic achievements in cultural anthropology, qualitative research methods, and contemporary culture.

Candidates for the position of assistant professor at the Institute of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology should meet the following criteria:

- demonstrate authorship or co-authorship of publications in renowned international journals and leading publishing houses in the discipline

- direct or coordinate a scientific project funded by an entity other than the employing institution within the last 7 years

- have a record of active participation in conferences at the international level

- know English to the extent of being able to conduct seminars, speeches, research papers, etc. in that language.

Additional strengths of the candidate(s):

- participation in the implementation of a research program/project with domestic or foreign funds in the last 5 years

- experience in the implementation of research and project cooperation between the university unit and entities from the socio-economic environment

- outline or ready-to-submit research project

- knowledge of another modern foreign language in addition to English
