Description:

A candidate for the announced position should meet the requirements of art. 113, art. 116 of the Act of 20 July 2018 Law on Higher Education (Journal of Laws of 2022, item 574, with amendments)

Requirements:

- a doctoral degree in the discipline of chemical sciences (specialization in organic chemistry) obtained no earlier than 7 years before the year of employment in the project,

- documented scientific achievements in the field of organic chemistry, chemistry of organic materials, - extensive experience in organic synthesis and in at least one of the following areas: EPR spectroscopy, organic magnetism, quantum mechanical calculations,

- ability to independently perform experiments and fully analyze the results,

- skills and experience in conducting physico organic research with particular emphasis on spectroscopic techniques (NMR, UV-vis), electrochemistry, DSC,

- fluency in spoken and written English, preparing publication texts and giving conference lectures,

- ability to work in a team, enthusiasm and high motivation to deepen knowledge,

- a foreign internship will be an additional advantage.

Description of tasks:

The employed person will participate in the preparation and analysis of molecular materials containing a stable radical. The research includes synthesis, basic characterization of soft materials using various analytical techniques in the search for new materials for molecular electronics and spintronics. In this context, we are looking for a motivated candidate familiar with laboratory work and instrumental analysis methods, interested in organic synthesis, physico-chemical research, research on magnetic phenomena and organic semiconductors. The Assistant Professor is expected to lead a small team consisting of a PhD student and/or diploma student, which provides excellent opportunities to develop management skills.
