Candidates for the position of adjunct at the Teaching and Information Technology Unit should fulfil the following criteria:

- hold a Phd in history

- have experience in conducting scholarly research in the field of history, confirmed by academic publications and papers presented at academic conferences in their own country and abroad

- have experience in teaching academic courses in history didactics and the didactics of citizenship education (‘dydaktyka wiedzy o społeczeństwie’ in Polish)

- have experience in organizing and supervising teaching practice for students in subject teaching and educational psychology (both mid-term and continuous)

- have experience in implementing didactic projects

- have an excellent command of English (at least on C1 level), so that they can publish articles in English-language scholarly journals, present papers at the international conferences and give classes in that language

- have a minimum of ten years of work experience in general education as a history teacher

- have at the very least a degree of teacher professional advancement – certified teacher (‘nauczyciel mianowany’ in Polish)

Additional assets of candidates include:

- experience in organizational work at the university and in the popularization of science

- experience in teaching classes in English on academic and school level

- completion of courses and trainings which develop didactic and pedagogical skills of school and academic teachers

- academic visits or research stays at foreign universities, research institutions or archives

- obtainment of scholarships, grants or scholarly prizes

- interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

- conducting scholarly research and popularizing its results by publishing academic works and participating in scientific conferences

- conducting didactic classes, especially for students enrolled on teaching specialization (both in Polish and English)

- organizing and supervising mid-term and continuous teaching practice for students

- taking part in organizational work and in the popularization of science
