Responsibilities of the assistant position:

Conducting scientific research in the field of art history (in particular: clothing and applied art since the 19th century) and methods of making art accessible to people with disabilities

Conducting classes on the history of modern art, the history of clothing and methods of making it available to people with disabilities.

Conducting and organizing field classes for students.

Participation in the organizational life of the Department of the History of Painting and Sculpture.

Candidates for the post of assistant professor in the group of research and teaching staff at the Department of History of Painting and Sculpture will be assessed according to the following criteria:

Doctorate in the field of humanities, in the discipline of history or art history.

Scientific achievements in the field of the history of clothing and methods of making art accessible to people with disabilities.

Due to the research profile of the Department and the teaching tasks performed, we are looking for candidates specializing in the development of art and fashion in the Łódź region, as well as having experience in implementing projects aimed at disseminating knowledge about art among people with disabilities.

An article published within the last two years in a high-scoring journal (min. 140 points) from the Ministry of Education and Science (MEiN) list.

Documented experience in implementing national and international research projects (Horizon, NCBiR).

Documented teaching experience.

Documented experience in conducting and organizing field classes for art history students.

Completion of courses and training to improve the didactic work of an academic teacher.

Very good knowledge of spoken and written English is required so that the future assistant professor can publish articles in English-language journals, present papers at international conferences and conduct classes for students in this language.

Documented experience in working with people with disabilities.

Participation in scientific conferences (national and international).
