Candidates should meet the following criteria:
• have a professional title in the field of computer science
• have an academic degree in one of the disciplines conducted at the Faculty
• Polish language command in speech and writing;
• English language command in speech and writing,;
• have experience in conducting specialized teaching classes in the field of computer science;
• have qualifications and predispositions for teaching work and interpersonal skills;
• an additional advantage will be having qualifications/practice to conduct teaching activities in other disciplines conducted at WFIS

The candidate must meet the condition of no criminal record for the crimes specified in Chapter XIX and XXV of the Penal Code, in Article 189a and Article 207 of the Penal Code and in the Act of 29 July 2005 on Counteracting Drug Addiction (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1939) and for the prohibited acts specified in foreign law corresponding to these crimes.

Expected scope of responsibilities
1. The obligation of an academic teacher is to conscientiously and diligently perform the assigned tasks and to follow the work-related orders of superiors, unless they are contrary to the law. An academic teacher is obliged in particular to:
1) comply with applicable legal provisions, in particular the provisions of the Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571);
2) comply with the applicable provisions of internal law of the University of Lodz, in particular those contained in the Work Regulations of the University of Lodz and the Regulations on the remuneration of University of Lodz employees;
3) comply with applicable occupational health and safety rules, as well as fire safety regulations;
4) take care of the good of the employer, protect his property and keep secret any information the disclosure of which could expose the employer to damage;
5) immediately notify superiors of any accident or threat to human life or health noticed at the university.
2. Scope of responsibilities at the position held:
1) in terms of teaching duties:
a) conducting teaching classes carried out as part of an employment relationship on an annual basis, specified by the Senate, for full-time, part-time and postgraduate studies, including conducting teaching classes using distance learning methods and techniques;
b) timely preparation of study documentation for academic teachers;
c) participation in developing and updating educational programs and teaching plans;
d) conducting examinations and tests, including diploma examinations;
e) supervising students' final and semester papers;
f) conducting and reviewing diploma theses;
g) developing teaching materials for classes;
h) conducting consultations with students, 2 hours a week;
i) improving one's own professional qualifications in the field of teaching activities;
j) activating an academic teacher evaluation survey carried out by students and doctoral students for individual subjects;
k) ensuring high quality of education and compliance of teaching work with the principles of the internal education quality assurance system;
l) performing other teaching duties assigned by superiors;
2) in terms of organizational responsibilities:
a) work in collegial bodies of universities and in faculty, senate and rector's committees;
b) work on recruitment committees and examination committees in the recruitment process for studies;
c) organizing promotional and presentation campaigns of the university and participating in them;
d) organizing conferences, symposia, seminars and other forms of academic activity;
e) performing functions assigned by superiors, including: the role of a year tutor or a student group tutor, supervision of scientific clubs and research camps, supervision of students' professional internships;
f) other organizational activities aimed at improving the functioning of the university, improving the quality of education and scientific research;
g) performing other organizational duties assigned by superiors.
