DESCRIPTION (subject, expectations, comments):
The candidate should have:
• a PhD degree in the humanities in the field of literary studies obtained no more than 8 years ago;
• Completed first- and second-cycle studies in Polish philology;
• academic teaching experience in conducting courses in the history of literature and thematic issues related to Polish literature of the 20th and 21st centuries;
• significant scientific achievements (doctoral thesis, publications, participation in conferences) dealing with the history of Polish literature, especially the 20th century, including the interwar and war period and literature after 1945;
• experience as an editor of academic publications;
• experience in applying for funding for research projects through national or international grant competitions or in participating in research teams conducting projects funded through such competitions
• presence for at least four working days in Łódź
• The candidate must meet the condition of no criminal record for the crimes specified in Chapter XIX and XXV of the Penal Code, in Article 189a and Article 207 of the Penal Code and in the Act of 29 July 2005 on Counteracting Drug Addiction (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1939) and for the prohibited acts specified in foreign law corresponding to these crimes.
• We reserve the right to leave the candidate's application without consideration in the case of failure to submit the above declarations by the recruitment deadline.

• experience in organizing academic conferences, events promoting Polish literature and culture;
• experience in coordinating student internships and initiatives;
• ability to internationalize academic achievements;
• plans for academic development (readiness to apply for grants; plans to pursue habilitation).
Persons entering the competition must submit an application for employment addressed to the HM Rector of the University of Lodz, together with the following attachments:
• personal questionnaire,
• CV with full list of scientific achievements (publications, participation in scientific conferences, internships etc.),
• copy of the doctoral diploma or decision of the commission to accept the public defense of the doctorate,
• statement that the University of Lodz will be the main place of employment
• Annex 1 to the Standards for the Protection of Minors at the UL Declaration for the purpose of verification in the Sex Offenders Register (available at: CAREER);
• Annex 2 to the Standards for the Protection of Minors at the UL Declaration of no criminal record and commitment to observe the UL Standards for the Protection of Minors (available at CAREER)
