Candidates should meet the following

criteria:

  • Have a PhD  degree  in physical science;
  • Polish language command in speech and writing;
  • English language command in speech and writing, ability to write scientific articles in this language;
  • knowledge of python and C++ programming languages,
  • ability to work in the git version control system,
  • experience in data analysis methods of Cherenkov telescopes,
  • experience in the simulations of the shower development in atmosphere or the Cherenkov telescopes responses (CORSIKA, sim_telarray etc),
  • experience in the developing of real (or simulations) data analysis method for Cherenkov telescopes,
  • experience in statistical analysis  of the broadband data from Active Galactic Nuclei
  • knowledge of ROOT, LaTeX software and experience in publishing works will be additional advantages,

The candidate must meet the condition of no criminal

on Counteracting Drug Addiction (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1939) and for

the prohibited acts specified in foreign law corresponding to these crimes.

FINAL RESULTS: The results of the competition are to be

announced by 17.02.2025

Planned date of employment: March 2025.

 

1. Scope of responsibilities at the position held:

1)

within the scope of scientific duties:

  • conducting and participating in scientific research and development work;
  • obtaining funds for scientific research by applying in competitions;
  • dissemination of the results of scientific or development research by publishing the results;
  • active participation in conferences and scientific seminars, financed as part of the tasks carried out by the unit or on other principles adopted at the university;
  • participation in the commercialization of research results (patents, protection rights, implementations);
  • education of scientific staff and care for their development;
  • improving one's professional qualifications, including in order to obtain further academic degrees and scientific titles;

2) in terms of organizational responsibilities:

  • work in collegial bodies of universities and in faculty, senate and rector's committees;
  • work on recruitment committees and examination committees in the recruitment process for studies;
  • organizing promotional and presentation campaigns of the university and participating in them;
  • organizing conferences, symposia, seminars and other forms of academic activity;

3) in terms of teaching duties:

  • conducting teaching classes carried out as part of an employment relationship on an annual basis, specified by the Senate, for full-time, part-time and postgraduate studies, including conducting teaching classes using distance learning methods and techniques;
  • timely preparation of study documentation for academic teachers;
  • participation in developing and updating educational programs and teaching plans;
  • conducting examinations and tests, including diploma examinations;
  • supervising students' final and semester papers;
  • conducting and reviewing diploma theses;
  • developing teaching materials for classes;
  • conducting consultations with students, 2 hours a week;
  • improving one's own professional qualifications in the field of teaching activities;
  • activating an academic teacher evaluation survey carried out by students and doctoral students for individual subjects;
  • ensuring high quality of education and compliance of teaching work with the principles of the internal education quality assurance system;
  • performing other teaching duties assigned by superiors;
