Requirements’ description:

The applicant for the aforementioned position shall meet the requirements of Art. 113 and Art. 116 of the Law on Higher Education and Science dated 20 July 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2022, item 574 with amendments) and the Statute of the University of Lodz.

We are inviting applications from candidates meeting the following criteria:

- holding at least a doctoral degree in one of the disciplines within the field of social sciences (in particular: economics and finance, socio-economic geography and spatial planning, sociological sciences, political sciences, legal sciences, management sciences),

- willing to declare further academic work in the social sciences in at least one of the listed disciplines:

• economics and finance,
• sociological sciences,
• socio-economic geography and spatial planning

- ready to take up employment at the University of Lodz as their primary workplace,

- having experience in research and teaching in areas related to urban and regional development and regional policy, sociology of local communities, public participation and deliberative democracy in local government, local government finances, development planning

- having a publication record in recognized scientific journals (Web of Science, Scopus) and publishing houses

- fluent in Polish and English at a level that allows teaching,

- documented participation in scientific and teaching projects (European Research Executive Agency, National Science Center, National Center for Research and Development, etc.) will be an additional strength.
