Who are we looking for

The candidate should meet the following criteria and have:

- a doctoral degree in a biological science or related discipline (recognised in Poland);

- experience in laboratory work, in particular in research on plant physiology at physiological, biochemical and molecular level using methods concerning metabolic activity of a plant cell in vivo and in vitro;

- good theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of plant physiology, plant in vitro cultures and spectrophotometry and fluorimetry techniques; experience in the application of molecular biology methods desirable

- ability to analyse data using mathematical and statistical tools;

- proficiency in Polish and English at an advanced level enabling discussions and preparation of scientific publications;

- scientific achievements in the field of plant biology documented by publications in reputable scientific journals: 300 pts. MEiN from JCR publications ≥ 100 pts. or patents, including at least one publication ≥ 100 pts. MEiN as the first author or a corresponding author;

- Experience in obtaining research funding from external sources;

- experience in academic teaching of plant physiology or biochemistry.

The candidate is expected to be creative, self-motivated, highly self-motivated, well organised and to able to work as part of a team. He/she is also expected to present a plan for further research activities taking into account his/her scientific development; including scientific internships abroad and applications for research projects.
