JOB DESCRIPTION:
The responsibilities of the position include: conducting teaching classes; preparing study documentation; participating in the development and updating of curricula and teaching plans; assessing students’ coursework; supervising students’ term and credit projects; preparing teaching materials; improving professional qualifications related to teaching; conducting and participating in research and development projects related to nanotechnology; working in a nanomedical laboratory; obtaining research funding through grant applications; disseminating research results through publications; active participation in scientific conferences and seminars; contributing to the commercialization of research results; improving professional competencies; performing organizational duties for the Faculty; and participating in promotional and outreach activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
The candidate should have impeccable ethical standards and meet the requirements set out in Articles 113 and 116 of the Act on Higher Education and Science of July 20, 2018 (as amended), as well as the Statute of the University of Łódź.
The candidate must meet the condition of having no criminal record for offenses specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Penal Code, in Articles 189a and 207 of the Penal Code, and in the Act of July 29, 2005 on Counteracting Drug Addiction (consolidated text: Journal of Laws 2023, item 1939), as well as equivalent offenses under foreign law.
Applications submitted without the required declarations may not be considered.
The candidate should meet the following criteria:
• Master’s degree in biology, biotechnology, microbiology, or related fields,
• Minimum of 100 points from scientific publications (as per the lists of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education valid in the year of publication),
• Employment history in research projects (minimum 6 months),
• Record of participation in international scientific conferences,
• Certified English language proficiency at a minimum B2 level,
• Laboratory experience in nanotechnology: synthesis of nanoparticles (organic, metallic, and hybrid) and their functionalization for biomedical applications; biophysical and biological characterization of nanoparticles,
• Experience in cell culture laboratory work: maintenance and passaging of cell lines, cell viability assays, cell banking,
• Experience with scientific methods: phototoxicity assessment of compounds, flow cytometry, confocal microscopy,
• International experience related to biological sciences (minimum 3 months abroad),
• Documented organizational activity (participation in associations, organization of scientific and science popularization events).

• Openness and willingness to engage in project-related challenges,
• Communication skills and ability to work in an international team.

• Continuous professional development, including work toward higher academic degrees.
