Who are we looking for


The Department of European Constitutional Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Lodz announces a competition for the position of assistant (assistant person) in the group of research and teaching staff, on a full-time basis.


Applicants should:

• hold a Master's degree in law or its equivalent recognized in Poland;

• specialize in European Union law or public international law;

• demonstrate research experience confirmed by publications in high-scoring scientific journals (100 points or above);

• have confirmed active participation in national and international conferences;

• have general knowledge of conducting scientific research (confirmation of having completed or been awarded a grant);

• have documented experience in obtaining foreign scholarships (confirmation of having completed or been awarded a foreign scholarship);

• have the ability to work in a team, including organizing scientific conferences and other scientific events;

• Fluent in spoken and written Polish;

• Fluent in spoken and written English, documented by a certificate confirming language proficiency;

• Knowledge of an official language of the European Union other than Polish and English, documented by a certificate confirming language proficiency, is desirable;

• Experience in collaborating with others is desirable;

• Completion of postgraduate studies in legal studies is desirable.


Responsibilities:

1) Teaching in Polish and English or another official EU language;

2) Conducting research within the discipline of legal studies, subdiscipline: European Union law, public international law;

3) Performing organizational duties as required by the Department's needs.

The candidate must meet the condition of no criminal record for the offences specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Penal Code, Article 189a and Article 207 of the Penal Code and the Act of 29 July 2005 on Counteracting Drug Addiction (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1939) and for the prohibited acts corresponding to these offences specified in the provisions of foreign law.
