Who are we looking for
Candidates for the above-mentioned position should demonstrate impeccable ethical conduct and meet the requirements of Articles 113 and 116 of the Act on Higher Education and Science of July 20, 2018 (i.e., Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571) as well as the Statute of the University of Łódź.
Requirements for candidates are as follows:
1. They have a master's degree in psychology;
2. They present interests in relationship psychology and family psychology;
3.They have experience in participating in a research internship;
4. Having experience regarding participation in research projects will be an additional advantage;
5. They have research experience documented by publications in peer-reviewed national and international scientific journals;
6. They know English at a communicative level and above; knowledge of a second foreign language will be an additional advantage;
7. They know advanced statistics and use statistical programs (SPSS, AMOS, R, etc.);
8. They undertake to take up employment at the University of Lodz as their primary place of work and on a full-time basis;
9. Due to the need to conduct teaching classes in Polish, they are fluent in spoken and written Polish.
The candidate must meet the requirement of having no criminal record for offenses specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Penal Code, in Articles 189a and 207 of the Penal Code, and in the Act of July 29, 2005 on counteracting drug addiction (consolidated text, Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1939), as well as for acts prohibited under foreign law corresponding to these offenses.
Responsibilities in the position:
in the area of teaching responsibilities in the position held :
1. conducting teaching activities carried out as part of the employment relationship on an annual basis, as determined by the Senate, in full-time, part-time and postgraduate studies, including conducting teaching activities using distance learning methods and techniques;
2. timely preparation of documentation on the course of study required of academic teachers;
3. participating in the development and updating of education programmes and teaching plans;
4. conducting assessments of classes taught;
5. supervising students' final and semester projects;
6. developing teaching materials for classes;
7. conducting consultations with students;
8. improving one's professional qualifications in the field of teaching;
9. ensuring high quality of education and compliance of teaching work with the principles of the internal quality assurance system;
10. conducting consultations with students for at least 2 hours (clock hours) per week;
11. performing other teaching duties assigned by the immediate superior.
in the area of research responsibilities in the position held :
1. conducting and participating in scientific research and development work;
2. obtaining funds for scientific research by applying for competitions;
3. disseminating the results of scientific or development research by publishing the results;
4. actively participating in scientific conferences and seminars, financed as part of the tasks carried out by the unit or on other terms adopted by the University;
5. participating in the commercialisation of research results (patents, protection rights, implementations);
6. improving one's professional qualifications, including for the purpose of obtaining further academic degrees and titles
in the area of organisational responsibilities in the position held :
1. work in the University's collegial bodies and in faculty, senate and rector's committees;
2. working in recruitment and examination committees in the student recruitment process;
3. organising and participating in promotional and presentation activities for the University;
4. participation in the organisation of conferences, symposia, seminars and other forms of academic activity;
5. performing duties assigned by superiors, including supervising student internships;
6. other organisational activities aimed at improving the functioning of the University and the quality of education and scientific research;
7. other organisational duties assigned by the immediate superior.
Candidates entering for the competition should submit:

3. Curriculum vitae;
4. Copy of a master's diploma
5. Information on academic, didactic and organizational achievements with the list of publications;
6. Statement of the candidate that he/she will undertake full-time employment at the University of Lodz as their primary workplace;
7. Statements that are specified in Appendices 1 and 2 of the Standards for the Protection of Minors which are obligatory at the University of Lodz.
8.
