DESCRIPTION : This position will consist of conducting scientific activities, including conceptual and laboratory work and didactic activities. In addition, it will include activities for the benefit of the Faculty and the University (promotion, organisation of events, participation in committees).
REQUIREMENTS:
The candidate for the above position should have an impeccable ethical attitude and meet the requirements of Articles 113 and 116 of the Law on Higher Education and Science of July 20, 2018. (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571) and the Statute of the University of Lodz.
The candidate must meet the condition of not having a criminal record for offences specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Penal Code, in Articles 189a and 207 of the Penal Code, and in the Act on Counteracting Drug Addiction of July 29, 2005 (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1939), as well as for corresponding offences specified in foreign laws.

The candidate should meet the following criteria and have:
- a doctoral degree in the discipline of biological or related sciences recognised in Poland;
- documented scientific achievements in the field of plant biology: at least 300 points from publications ≥ 100 points of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education or patents, including at least one publication ≥ 100 points of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education as the first author or corresponding author (publications should be attached to the dossier);
- good theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of plant physiology and biochemistry, as well as plant stress biology;
- experience in laboratory work, in particular in the study of plant biology at the physiological, biochemical and molecular levels;
- ability to analyse data with the use of mathematical and statistical tools;
- readiness to obtain funds for scientific research by applying in competitions at the national or international level;
- readiness to carry out international mobility for research purposes;
- proficiency in Polish and English at an advanced level, enabling conversation and preparation of scientific publications
- interpersonal skills, experience in scientific teamwork, and the ability to work independently.
ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGES:
- ·knowledge of the technique of plant in vitro cultures;
- experience in the application of molecular biology methods;
- experience in obtaining funds for scientific research from external sources
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- fulfilling duties following the strategy of the Faculty and the University;
- preparing and teaching of classes;
- development of didactic materials for classes;
- conducting and participating in scientific research and development works;
- obtaining funds for scientific research by applying to competitions at the national or international level;
- publishing research results in the most prestigious scientific journals from the Journal Citation Reports list;
- implementation of international mobility for research purposes;
- active participation in scientific conferences and seminars,
- organising and participating in promotional campaigns for the University and the Faculty;
- mproving their professional qualifications, including to obtain further academic degrees and titles
