DESCRIPTION (subject, expectations, comments):

The duties of an assistant professor include conducting scientific research, writing and co-writing monographs or publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals, obtaining funds for scientific research by applying for competitions, disseminating the results of scientific or development research by publishing the results and active participation in conferences and seminars scientific, funded within the framework of the unit's mission or other principles established by the University.

REQUIREMENTS:

The candidate should meet the following criteria and have:

- academic title / academic degree Ph.D. in the biological or related sciences, recognized in Poland;

- 1000 points from publications ≥ 100 points Ministry of Education and Science (MEiN) or patents, including at least one publication ≥ 100 points. MEiN as the first author or the corresponding author.

- experience in cell culture, cell transfection (RNAi, CRISPR/Cas9), isolation of nucleic acids from cell cultures and tissues along with RT-qPCR analysis, flow cytometry determinations, microscopic analysis, comet assay;

- experience in the preparation of applications to the ethics and bioethics committee and in the performance of in vivo experiments (Mus musculus, Rattus norvegicus);

- knowledge in the field of polymers with particular emphasis on nanoparticles and their complexes with anticancer drugs;

- fluent Polish, both in speech and writing;

- ability to write: scientific papers and research projects. Computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, Photo Draw Graphics Suite, Corel Draw, Statistica) and good command of English.

The candidate is expected to present the opinion of the supervisor from the current workplace defining the predisposition to work in a scientific and didactic institution.

ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGES:

Experience in carrying out research tasks of a scientific project and/or managing a research project.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate is expected to

- conduct and participate in scientific research and development, which may consist of conducting a grant, managing a research program, or participating in an international research program, as well as authoring or co-authoring monographs or publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals;

- obtaining funding for scientific research by participating in competitions;

- disseminating the results of scientific or developmental research by publishing the results;

- active participation in conferences and scientific seminars financed as part of the unit's mission or other principles established by the University;

- participation in the commercialization of research results (patents, copyrights, implementations);

- training and development of scientific personnel;

- improvement of professional qualifications, including for the purpose of obtaining further academic degrees and scientific titles;

- supporting the participants of the Doctoral School in research and scientific development.
