The candidate for the above position should meet the requirements of Article 113 and Article 116 of the Law on Higher Education and Science of July 20, 2018. (Journal of Laws of 2022, item 574 as amended) and the Statute of the University of Lodz.

DESCRIPTION (field, expectations, comments): The candidate(s) should 1/ have a master's degree in ethnology and cultural anthropology; 2/ have scholarly achievements in the theory and methodology of contemporary cultural anthropology, non-European ethnology, history of ethnological thought, including publications and documented active participation in conferences at the national and international level.

Candidates for the position of Assistant Professor at the Institute of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology should meet the following criteria:

- have experience in teaching ethnology and anthropology at the university level in the last 5 years

- have knowledge and experience in preparing and implementing research projects and conducting scientific research, including raising funds for research

- be fluent in Polish and at least in English to the extent that he/she can teach in this language.

Additional strengths of the candidate(s):

- experience in the use of a specialized foreign language, including for scientific interpretation and/or translation

- Participation in the broader national and international scientific movement
