DESCRIPTION (subject, expectations, comments):
The candidate should have:
• the academic degree of doctor of humanities in the discipline of linguistics or at least the decision of the commission to accept the public defense of the doctorate;
• scientific output (doctoral dissertation, publications, participation in conferences) in the field of Polish linguistics, with particular emphasis on media linguistics and discourse linguistics;
• completed first and second degree studies in Polish philology;
• a completed teaching specialisation (which entitles them to teach Polish language in primary and secondary schools);
• experience in school teaching (a minimum of three years' experience as a Polish teacher in a primary or lower secondary school);
• experience in university teaching (a minimum of three years' work experience as an academic teacher of linguistic subjects, with particular emphasis on Polish linguistics and modern Polish).
Duties of the Candidate :
1. in the field of research work - active participation in scientific conferences and systematic publication of author's monographs and scientific articles in publishing houses and scientific journals included in the updated list of scientific journals and publications of MEiN,
2. in the field of didactic work - conducting linguistic didactic subjects (m.in. knowledge of the contemporary Polish language, Polish language culture, axiolinguistics, linguistics of discourse and public communication and Internet communication),
3. in the field of organizational work - active involvement in organizational activities for the benefit of the Department, Institute and Faculty".
Additional advantages include:
• completed postgraduate studies in media speech therapy;
• knowledge of the German language (confirmed by at least a fifty per cent pass in the German Baccalaureate at extended level, or a very good result in the German doctoral exam, or a German language certificate at min. B2);
• experience in the organisation of scientific conferences, events popularising the culture of the Polish language and knowledge of language communication in public space;
• research interests in contemporary Polish, in particular in the field of discourse linguistics and linguistic communication in new media;
• experience in applying for funds for research projects financed by national or foreign competitions or participation in the work of research teams implementing projects financed by national or foreign competitions.
Persons entering the competition must submit an application for employment addressed to the HM Rector of the University of Lodz, together with the following attachments:
• personal questionnaire,
• CV with full list of scientific achievements (publications, participation in scientific conferences, internships etc.),
• copy of the doctoral diploma or decision of the commission to accept the public defense of the doctorate,
• statement that the University of Lodz will be the main place of employment.
