DESCRIPTION:
The work will consist of: performing and analyzing research in the field of microbiology, immunology and molecular biology under the supervision, and preparing documentation
of completed tasks, teaching students of microbiology, biotechnology and biology (specialization
in genetics) and disseminating science, as well as carrying out auxiliary organizational work.
REQUIREMENTS:
The candidate should meet the following criteria and have:
- professional title of master's degree in biology or a related discipline, recognized in Poland;
- documented publication activity in the field of specialization (minimum 3 publications from the JCR list, >100 points of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, including at least one publication as the first author) and experience in carrying out research tasks in scientific and/or commercial projects as a contractor;
- experience in teaching classes in the field of microbiology or immunology;
- competences to conduct scientific research using in vivo animal models (based on certificates);
- fluent knowledge of Polish in speech and writing (including knowledge of specialist terminology in the field of microbiology, immunology, bioinformatics and molecular biology);
ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGES:
- extensive theoretical knowledge in the field of immunology, microbiology and genetics of microorganisms;
- experience in experimental work with microorganisms and human cell lines;
- knowledge of techniques used in classical microbiology, immunology and molecular biology, as well as the use of office and specialized software;
- good knowledge of English;
- high personal culture, ability to communicate and work in a team;
- initiative and independence in action.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- participation in the implementation of research conducted at the Department;
- preparing scientific publications, patent applications, and obtaining funds for conducting research by applying in competitions at the national or international level;
- conducting specialized teaching classes (in the field of microbiology, immunology,bioinformatics);
- timely preparation of the documentation of the course of study, which is obligatory for academic teachers, as well as conducting credit for the taught classes
- constant and systematic improvement of qualifications, including those for the purpose of obtaining further degrees and academic titles, in accordance with the guidelines and plan approved by the head of the Department;
- active participation in scientific conferences, activities to disseminate and popularize knowledge;
- implementation of international mobility for research purposes
- control and replenishment of technical gases and liquid nitrogen;
- other duties assigned by supervisors.
