Candidates for Assistant Professorship are required to:   

-           have a PhD in the discipline of philosophy;  

-           have a documented research experience in the field of methodology of science and philosophy of science;  

-           have a demonstrated strong track record of publications in the top journals in the field;  

-           have experience in teaching logic, methodology of science, and philosophy of science;  

-           have experience in obtaining external research funding, both domestic and international;  

-           have carried out research at international scientific institutions;  

-           have a very good command of Polish and English, both spoken and written;  

-           meet the condition of having no criminal record with respect to offenses specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Penal Code, in Article 189a and Article 207 of the Penal Code, and in the Act of July 29, 2005, on Counteracting Drug Addiction, as well as for corresponding prohibited acts specified in the provisions of foreign law.   

Additional assets include:  

- a PhD obtained abroad;  

- a good command of German;  

- experience in teaching semiotics and argumentation theory.

  Basic job responsibilities include:   

-           conducting scholarly research;  

-           teaching graduate and undergraduate classes, including courses for international students;  

-           contributing to the Department’s academic and administrative activities.
