Candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • completed master's degree in physics, medical physics or a related field;
  • at least a doctoral degree in physical sciences;
  • experience in scientific work in an academic unit or institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences;
  • at least one year of postdoctoral fellowship in a foreign research unit;
  • minimum 5 years of experience in a management position;
  • knowledge of the Polish language to the extent that it is possible to conduct classes with students;
  • proficiency in English at an advanced level;
  • understanding of issues of the radiological protection, radiation risk and the current legal regulations in this area;
  • understanding of the medical applications of ionizing radiation and medical equipment used in conventional radiology, computed tomography, interventional radiology and nuclear medicine;
  • at least two years of work in conditions of exposure to ionizing radiation;
  • experience in laboratory work and dosimetry of ionizing radiation in health care units;
  • minimum of 3 years of training in medical physics, conducted at a medical university or equivalent unit;
  • experience in preparing and conducting research or training projects welcomed
