DESCRIPTION (subject matter, expectations, comments):

The candidate should meet the following criteria:

-hold a PhD degree in the discipline of legal science;

-specialise and have academic achievements in European economic law and the law of new technologies, including data protection law – combining these specialisations will be preferred;

-have scientific experience in the field of European economic law, including data protection law, confirmed by publications in scoring scientific journals and participation in national and international conferences;

-have experience in teaching law at the university level in the field of public economic law and European economic law, highly rated in anonymous student surveys (survey teaching evaluation confirmed by document);

-have the required knowledge of performing scientific research;

-have proven research experience stemming from leading a research project co-funded or financed by an entity external to the existing employer;

-have professional experience in the practice of applying economic law, including legal services to entrepreneurs;

-have experience in organizing postgraduate studies, including the preparation of their curriculum and learning outcomes;

-have experience in supervising the preparation of master's theses;

-be fluent in Polish – spoken and written;

-be fluent in English and French (language skills confirmed by certificates);

-meet the criteria for employment in the position of assistant professor in the group of research and teaching staff as required by Regulation No. 58 of the Rector of the University of Lodz of 20 December 2019 on defining detailed criteria for evaluating scientific and teaching achievements required for employment of academic teachers in the position of a university professor and the position of assistant professor.

The basic tasks of an employee employed in the position include, in particular:

-teaching realized within the framework of the employment relationship on an annual basis, as determined by the Senate of the University of Lodz at full-time, part-time and postgraduate studies, including teaching by methods and techniques of distance learning;

-timely preparation of the documentation required for academic teachers concerning the course of the studies;

-conducting examinations and credits, including diploma examinations;

-supervising students' credit and semester papers;

-conducting and reviewing diploma theses;

-conducting consultations with students at least 2 hours per week;

-ensuring high quality of education and compliance of teaching work with the principles of the internal education quality assurance system;

-obtaining funds for scientific research by applying for competitions;

-conducting and participating in scientific research and development work;

-working in recruitment committees and examination committees in the process of enrolling students;

-organizing and participating in promotional and presentation events for the University;

-organizing conferences, symposia, seminars and other forms of academic activity;

-performing functions assigned by superiors, including such functions as the role of year supervisor or supervisor of a student group, supervision of study circles and study camps, supervision of students' professional practice;

-improvement of own professional qualifications;

-other teaching, research and organizational duties assigned by the direct supervisor.
