DESCRIPTION:

The position entails conducting research and providing support to the Department staff and doctoral students, active participating in the acquisition and implementation of scientific projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

The candidate should meet the following criteria and have:

- PhD in Biology or related disciplines, recognized in Poland;

- significant publication record - a minimum of 10 articles published in JCR journals with at least 100 points of Ministry of Education and Science (at least 5 publications as first or corresponding author within last 3 years);

- experience in laboratory work, especially biophysical and molecular biology methods;

- experience in planning and conducting cell cultures;

- willingness to pursue international mobility for research purposes;

- is fluent in Polish; spoken and written in English;

- documented applications on scientific grants (min. 1 grant application at the national or international level).

ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGES:

- skills in planning and conducting experiments. Using the Real Time PCR, Western Blot techniques and ELISA tests.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate for the position will fulfill duties in accordance with the strategy of the University, Faculty and the Department.

- the candidate will conduct and participate in scientific research and development work;

- support the Department staff and PhD students, scientific and technical support of the Department visitors;

- performing experiments, analysis of data, preparing manuscripts, publication of the results in prestigious scientific journals from the Journal Citation Reports list;

- obtaining funds for scientific research by applying to competitions;

- implementation of international mobility for research purposes;

- organizing and participation in promotional and presentation actions for the benefit of the University of Lodz.
