The applicant for the aforementioned position shall meet the requirements of Art. 113 and Art. 116 of the Law on Higher Education and Science dated 20 July 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2022, item 574 with amendments) and the Statute of the University of Lodz.

The applicant must meet the condition of not having a criminal record with respect to the offenses specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Penal Code, in Art. 189a and 207 of the Penal Code, and in the Act of July 29, 2005 on Counteracting Drug Addiction (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1939), as well as the corresponding offenses specified in foreign laws.

We are inviting applications form candidates who meet the following criteria:

• a doctoral degree in sociology ,
• readiness to represent the field of social sciences within the discipline of sociological sciences in the evaluation of scientific disciplines,
• readiness to take up employment at the University of Łódź as the primary place of work,
• research interests in historical sociology, class analysis, and social history,
• a documented scientific output including at least three articles published in internationally recognized journals or chapters in monographs indexed in the Web of Science database in the years 2021-2026, or scientific monographs published by reputable international academic publishers,
• experience in international cooperation related to applying for grants funded by European Research Council (ERC) programmes and in conducting international research projects in the areas of historical sociology, class analysis, and social history,
• readiness to apply for grants in international competitive funding competitions,
• experience in international cooperation; research internships at leading foreign universities will be considered an asset,
• excellent command of Polish and English (both spoken and written).
