DESCRIPTION (subject, expectations, comments):

The candidate should have:

an MA degree in English Studies and be a native speaker of English. The candidate should have a considerable (and documented) experience in teaching Practical English courses. The candidate should have some experience in writing syllabuses for courses in Practical English. Additionally, the candidate should possess a substantial record of conducting composition classes in English, as well as skills and experience in editing texts for publication. It would be expected that the candidate can also run courses within a broader field of current political and cultural affairs in the English-speaking countries, using press and social media as teaching materials. The candidate would be expected to have some experience in writing journalistic texts and composing social media content.

Duties of the Candidate

The candidate will be expected to:

• conduct courses in writing and composition and classes in journalism or media within the Practical English module in the English Studies and other programmes,

 

• actively engage in all organisational projects and assignments in the Institute of English Studies and the Faculty of Philology,

 

• accept editorial and proof-reading assignments both in the Institute of English Studies and the Faculty of Philology.
