DESCRIPTION:

• The candidate is expected to have completed his/her MA in the field of humanities, specializing in English philology;

• The candidate is expected to have a near native competence in English (min. level C2)

• The candidate is expected to have at least five years of experience in teaching English as a foreign language (experience in teaching at the university level is preferable);

• The appointee will run courses organized by various departments within the Faculty of Philology; the courses will teach English as a foreign language at various levels, from B1 to C2 (including integrated skills, writing and speaking modules), practical grammar courses, academic writing, ESP (e.g., as part of the Linguistics for Business programme); experience in conducting such classes is preferable;

• The appointee will be part of the team responsible for devising practical English examinations; therefore, the candidate is expected to have qualifications and experience related to the process of testing language proficiency;

• The appointee will be involved in devising the teaching programme for practical English and in preparing teaching materials (also for e-learning); experience in such activities is preferable;

• The appointee’s duties might also involve the translation and proofreading of some university documentation; experience and skills related to this, as well as the knowledge of Polish, will be an asset;
