Requirements: 

The position of lecturer (F/M) at the Institute of Romance Studies, University of Łódź, is open to candidates who: 

– hold a Master’s degree in Romance Philology;

– have experience in teaching French as a foreign language at academic level;

– have experience in teaching Italian; 

– are familiar with contemporary teaching techniques using modern technologies; 

– have experience in implementing educational projects and teaching initiatives; 

– have a command of Polish at C2 level or are native speakers of Polish. 

Responsibilities of the candidate: 

1. in terms of teaching – delivering practical French language classes and specialist French language classes, delivering practical Italian language classes, coordinating French as a Foreign Language (FLE) class, supervising selected groups of students and trainees; 

2. in terms of organisational work – actively participating in organisational activities for the department, institute and faculty;

– experience of institutional cooperation with external partners; 

– knowledge of project methodology; 

– active participation in internships and training courses on the methodology of French and other Romance languages; 

– examination qualifications; 

– knowledge of other languages, particularly Romance languages; 

– ability to work in a team, systematic approach and a sense of duty.

The candidate must meet the requirement of having no criminal record in respect of offences specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Criminal Code, in Articles 189a and 207 of the Criminal Code, and in the Act of 29 July 2005 on counteracting drug addiction (i.e. Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1939) and for prohibited acts corresponding to these offences as defined in the provisions of foreign law.
