DESCRIPTION (field, expectations, comments):
The candidate is required to have general knowledge of Polish and world literature in their artistic and cultural aspects. He/she should also have broad orientation in 20th and 21st-century methodologies in literature and the theory and practice of creative writing.
The candidate should have:
The applicant is expected to have a broad orientation in the field of literary research, as well as the relationship between literature and other arts and the contemporary literary and publishing market.
Requirements:
Knowledge of the English language is required to a degree that allows teaching in the field of literary studies and creative writing. The candidate should hold a PhD in literary studies. We expect that the candidate will have scientific experience confirmed by publications in peer-reviewed journals, conference participation, and teaching experience in the above-mentioned areas. Additionally, we expect the candidate to prepare a short description of the proposed two author's courses (as part of optional classes) for creative writing students;
Duties of the Candidate :
1. in the field of research work - active participation in scientific conferences and systematic publication of author's monographs and scientific articles in publishing houses and scientific journals included in the updated list of scientific journals and publications of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education,
2. in terms of teaching work - conducting classes on undergraduate creative writing studies, and/or undergraduate cultural studies, and film studies, (classes in the field of history/theory of literature and creative work with texts).
3. in the field of organizational work - active involvement in organizational activities for Chair of Literary Theory, Institute of Contemporary Culture and Faculty of Philology of the University of Lodz
