Who are we looking for

Requirements:

The Candidate should meet the following substantive criteria:

- Possession of a doctoral degree in the discipline of Management Sciences / Management and Quality Sciences (the diploma must be recognized in Poland),

- Readiness to be employed at the University of Łódź as the primary place of work,

- Research interests in the fields of digital transformation, the use of technology in management, IT project and service management, and psychological aspects related to the implementation and use of technology, confirmed by academic achievements in these areas – specifically, at least 2 publications (monographs or high-impact scientific articles) from the past 2 years, as well as experience in conducting research in these fields,

- At least 5 years of teaching experience at the academic level (in Polish and English) in the areas of digital transformation, business digitalization, the use of technology in management, IT project and service management, and psychological issues related to the implementation and use of technology,

- Experience in developing and updating educational curricula and teaching plans,

- Experience in supervising and reviewing diploma theses,

- Fluent command of English, both spoken and written, necessary for teaching classes and preparing academic texts,

- Very good command of the Polish language, both spoken and written (in the case of foreign candidates).

Additional assets include:

- Practical experience in the fields of digital transformation, the use of technology in management, resource, project and IT service management, psychological aspects related to the implementation and use of technology, as well as the application of software engineering methods and tools in IT management,

- Experience in cooperation with business representatives in the field of teaching,

- Experience in science popularization and in organizing popular science events,

- Fluent command of another foreign language (congress language), both spoken and written, for the purposes of scientific and research cooperation,

- Certificates confirming knowledge of IT project and service management methodologies, e.g. PRINCE2, ITIL, etc.


The Candidate should submit

- CV including a list of previous scientific achievements (publications, scientific projects, etc.),

- the copy of PhD Diploma,

- Evidence of confirming completed trainings, internships, certificates (including language ones),

- statement on the level of English language knowledge (in the case of lack of English language certificate),

- Polish language certificate (non-Polish candidates),

- Declarations (Appendices 1 and 2) to the complete version of the Standards for the Protection of Minors in mandatory at the University of Lodz (https://www.uni.lodz.pl/kariera),

- the RODO clause (available on the University of Lodz website https://www.uni.lodz.pl/kariera).

If case of not submitting all required documents and declarations on time the candidate's application may not be considered. We may interview selected candidates. Positive assessment of the Candidate does not guarantee employment at the University of Lodz. The University of Lodz does not reimburse travel and accommodation costs.

The candidate for the above-mentioned position should meet the requirements of Articles 113, 116 of the Act of 20 July 2018. Law on higher education and science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571).
