Who are we looking for
The candidate must meet the requirement of having no criminal record with respect to offences specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Criminal Code, in Articles 189a and 207 of the Criminal Code, as well as in the Act of 29 July 2005 on Counteracting Drug Addiction (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1939), and for acts prohibited under foreign law corresponding to these offences.
The candidate for the above-mentioned position should meet the requirements set out in Articles 113 and 116 of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended), as well as in the Statute of the University of Łódź.
The candidate should meet the following criteria:
- master’s degree obtained in the discipline of social sciences in the field of management,
- very good theoretical and practical knowledge of the fundamentals of management, with particular emphasis on: classical and modern organizational structures, contemporary management concepts and methods, change management, employee motivation, organizational culture, and the development of organizational identity,
- at least five years of professional experience in a teaching position,
- experience in delivering courses in the areas of: fundamentals of management, organizational relations, and shaping the quality of life within an organization,
- completed courses and trainings in modern teaching methods (confirmed by certificates),
- publication record, with particular emphasis on didactic publications (at least 10 publications),
- organizational experience in working at a higher education institution, including coordination of degree programs or specializations and the organization of events,
- ability to work in a team,
- proficient command of the Polish language.
Additional advantages include:
- communicative command of the English language,
- experience in participating in and organizing academic conferences, including delivering presentations,
- participation in research projects,
- experience in working with young people and fostering their social engagement.
Outline of responsibilities:
- compliance with applicable legal regulations and internal rules in force at the University of Łódź,
- conducting teaching activities carried out within the employment relationship, in the annual workload specified by the Senate, for both full‑time and part‑time studies,
- timely preparation of all required study‑related documentation,
- participation in the development and updating of curricula and teaching schedules,
- conducting assessments and awarding course credits,
- supervision of students’ coursework and semester assignments,
- preparing teaching materials for the courses delivered,
- continuous professional development in the field of the courses taught,
- ensuring high quality of teaching and compliance of didactic work with the internal quality assurance system,
- holding weekly consultation hours of at least 2 hours,
- performing functions assigned by the supervisor, e.g., year tutor, student group tutor, supervisor of student research clubs, supervisor of professional internships,
- performing other organizational activities aimed at improving the functioning of the University of Łódź and enhancing the quality of education.

- CV including a list of previous scientific achievements (publications, scientific projects, etc.),
- copy of master diploma,
- evidence of confirming completed trainings, internships, certificates (including language ones),
- statement on the level of English language knowledge (in the case of lack of English language certificate),
- Polish language certificate (non-Polish candidates),
- declarations (Appendices 1 and 2) to the complete version of the Standards for the Protection of Minors in mandatory at the University of Lodz (https://www.uni.lodz.pl/kariera),

If case of not submitting all required documents and declarations on time the candidate's application may not be considered.
